Blind/Visually Impaired Advisory Committee

The Blind-Visually Impaired Advisory Committee provides specific advice and recommendations to the Minnesota Department of Education on how to improve learning results for students who are blind-visually impaired. The committee helps to determine priorities for action, addresses technical issues and offers counsel on services for students with vision impairments.

The committee also provides general advice to the Special Education Advisory Panel and the Special Education Division at the Minnesota Department of Education on procedures to address the needs of students who are blind-visually impaired within the context of special education program rules, priorities, procedures and funding.
