CACFP Basic Training

Description: This live, four hour workshop provides basic information on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). A certificate of attendance will be provided after the workshop.

  • Point-of-service meal counts
  • Vended meal contracts
  • Special diets

Target audience: This training applies to child care centers, adult care centers, and emergency shelters. It does not include information for sponsors who only operate the At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program. The following individuals will benefit from the training:

  • New center directors
  • New CACFP coordinators
  • New cooks or food service directors
  • Any staff person new to CACFP (in last three years) involved with the topics listed above
  • Anyone who would like a refresher on CACFP
