Introductory GOLD Training: June 20-21, 2019 in Rochester

Date: June 20–21, 2019

Time: 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

Location: Families First 1026 East Center Street, Rochester, MN 55904

Description: This is an introductory training to the GOLD Assessment. The GOLD is an authentic observation-based assessment system for children from birth through third grade. The system may be implemented with any developmentally appropriate curriculum. Importantly, the GOLD is a Kindergarten Entry Profile (KEP) approved assessment. KEP-approved assessments align to and cover the 2017 Early Childhood Indicators of Progress (ECIPs) and kindergarten academic standards. The GOLD can be used across multiple programs, settings, ages and grades (e.g., kindergarten, voluntary pre-kindergarten, school readiness, school readiness plus, preschool, early childhood special education, Head Start and child care programs—including 3- and 4-star Parent Aware rated programs). The information this assessment produces helps teachers, administrators and families understand what students know and are able to do in order to support children’s learning and development while also guiding continuous program improvement efforts.
