Community Connections: Addressing Student Crisis

Description: As part of the Department of Education’s ongoing efforts under the Olmstead Plan to prevent abuse and neglect, the Division of Compliance and Assistance-Student Maltreatment Program is hosting a full-day workshop for school administrators on resources available when addressing student crisis. Topics will include county social services, mental health services, attendance/truancy and education neglect. The training will conclude with a panel of MDE maltreatment staff, police, and county social services discussing mandated reporting of abuse and neglect. Training is provided at no cost to you and Board of School Administrators (BOSA) credits will be available.
