Five “shifts” schools can make to gear up for next generation family engagement
Date: September 19, 2019
Time: 3-4 p.m.
Description: In late 2018, the Global Family Research Project published a report on family engagement for the Carnegie Corporation of New York. The Joining Together to Create a Bold Vision for Next Generation Family Engagement report defines next-generation family engagement as “moving from where we are now…to more strategic and systemic approaches to family and community engagement.” The report introduces five “shifts” that schools can make to boost their family-community engagement practices to the next level. Join me to hear more about the shifts and discuss what they could look like in Minnesota’s school communities.
