MARSS University 205 – Determining Resident District

Date: October 29, 2019

Time: 1-2 p.m.

Description: Generally, students are considered residents of where they reside with their parent/legal guardian. However, there are situations where this is not true. Attend this webinar to learn of all the nuances to consider in determining a student’s resident district. The discussion includes citing Minnesota statutes used in making the determination and differences between regular education and special education. The district of residence must be determined to accurately calculate general education revenue, other state aids, levy authority and, in many cases, determine responsibilities for tuition. Presentation materials and information on joining the webinar will be sent to registered participants the morning of October 28.
