Description: The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V) is dedicated to increasing learner access to high-quality Career and Technical programs of study. Minnesota State and Minnesota Department of Education invites school administrators, teachers, parents, and the members of the community to attend and participate in public hearings to discuss the changes to Minnesota’s four-year plan for Career and Technical Education.
We are seeking your input on the alignment of programs of study to industry needs, increasing student access to high-quality education, and supporting the full continuum of offerings from career exploration through preparations to meet the changing needs of learners and employers. The focus of Perkins V is the alignment of systems and program improvement. Each meeting will be repeated three times to maximize participation. The times are:
- 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
- 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
