Legislative Reports

The Minnesota Department of Education prepares reports for the Legislature, as required by statute, to inform lawmakers and the public about department programs, detail research studies conducted by the department on education issues, or use as an accountability tool for programs for which the commissioner has oversight. Previous years' reports are available on the left navigation menu.

In most cases, reports are due to the Legislature in the fiscal year following the activity; for instance, a report completed in fiscal year 2021 includes data from the 2019-20 school year. The reports on this page were due in fiscal year 2021. Contact information is included in each report.
