The documents below support efforts of school districts to meet Early Childhood Special Education program requirements as established by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Minnesota Statutes and Rules including information on accurately reporting and using program and outcome data.
  • Minnesota’s Part C Central Directory - 3/16/17
    Federally required Part C Central Resource Directory for infants, toddlers and preschoolers with disabilities and their families.
  • DRAFT FFY 2017 Part C Application - 3/1/17
    The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is required to publish the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017 Part C Application before submitting it to the federal Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The application must be publicly available throughout the state for at least a 60-day period with a minimum 30-day public comment period required within that time frame. Public comments will be reviewed and considered prior to the submission of the final application to OSEP by April 21, 2017. Public comments will be accepted from February 27, 2016 through March 27, 2017, at mde.ecse@state.mn.us.

    States are required measure and report on outcomes achieved by children enrolled in infant and toddler Intervention and Preschool Special Education and on the experiences of families. This brochure describes each outcome and the process used to measure and report information.
